You will be travelling with our Captain who is one of our top fishermen on the Haruaki Gulf with a wealth of local knowledge aboard this fast vessel, spend less time travelling with more time to FISH.

Catering: You can self cater, or our delicious Splash Menus are available for your convenience.

Food BYO: Please supply your own plastic plates, utensils, tee-towels and rubbish bags. We require you to remove all catering equipment and waste on your departure from the vessel.

Complimentary Hot Drinks: Tea, Coffee and Hot Chocolate.

Beverages BYO: Please limit your alcohol on this vessel. BYO all your cold drinks, including water, plastic glasses, and heavy duty rubbish bags for glass bottles. We require you to remove all waste on departure from the vessel.

Fishing Rod Hire: $20.00 per Hire Rod, use our Shimano Reel with Ugly stick Fishing Rod to increase your fishing catch.
 
BYO Fishing Rod: You are most welcome to bring your own fishing rod aboard this vessel.
 
Bait to BYO: Bring your own bait, we suggest you purchase your bait from Top Catch Shop, to encourage those hungry fish onto your hook.

Bait to Buy: You can purchase our value bait packs for $20.00 per person for individuals or $200.00 for groups of 10 people minimum. Our selection of bait is: Mullet, Pilchards and Squid. Salmon burley @ $12.00 each.

Complimentary: Flake Ice, by prior arrangement, please give us 72 hours notice if you require our offer of Flake Ice.

Chilly Bin with ice: Remember to bring a chilly bin to transport your fish.

We suggest you Freeze a two litre bottle of water prior your charter. Put bottle into chilly bin with some salted flake ice, bring these with you but leave them in your car. Catch your fish and put into chilly bin for transporting.

This method keeps fish fresh, prevents deterioration, as fish start deterioration within 3 minutes upon leaving their environment. When fish are immersed immediately into salted flake ice and water while on the boat, it keeps them fresh and they taste the best! Please note: Some boats have this service aboard, enquire when booking your charter.

What not to Bring: Smokes of any kind, illegal drugs or substances. Note: Medication prescribed by your doctor is acceptable. SMOKE FREE ZONE on, in, and around the outside of this vessel.

Not Feeling Well: May we suggest you gain information regarding motion sickness.
Sorry we are not permitted to supply motion/seasickness medication on charter.

Poor Weather: If the weather conditions are not suitable, our Captain will cancel, and will inform you 7 hours before departure. You will receive a full refund or you are welcome to rebook another date.

Tides: If you want to catch fish the tides are an important factor. One hour before change of tide is the best, but better if at change of light, please consider these factors when booking with us.

Location: Shannah is berthed beside the public boat ramp at the Bucklands Beach Marina, Half Moon Bay, Pakuranga.

• Take the Pakuranga Highway
• Turn left into Pigeon Mountain Road
• At the end go straight ahead into Ara Tai Road
• Travel past the shops on your right
• Turn right into the end marina Public Boat Ramp Car Park
• Beside the covered walkway to the Fullers boarding wharf is the Bucklands Beach Marina
• Shannah is berthed at Berth 33 Pier 3 of the Bucklands Beach Marina

Berth 33: Pier 3, Half-moon Bay, Buckland beach Marina, Pakuranga.

Safety equipment is carried on board at all times. The minimum weight for life jackets is 26kg. If you have children accompanying you on the trip you will need to arrange the correct size of their life jackets. The hirer acknowledges they are responsible for the safety of and the safety briefing for passengers and crew, and for the provision of lifejackets or suitable buoyancy assistance for children under this weight. (The Coastguard hires out to the public, infant life preservers, or life jackets.)

Times: It's your day on the water, so we will vary our departure times to suit your schedule. Typical departure times are:

• 8 Hour Charter: Departure: 7am - Return: 3pm.
• 4 Hour Charter: Departure: 5pm - Return: 9pm.

These times vary due to uniquely designed charters.

Free Parking: Park your vehicle in the correct area at Bucklands Beach Marina car park, otherwise you will be fined $50.00 from the parking attendant.

Trolleys: Please feel free to use the trolleys’ provided to load your gear onto the vessel, but return them before your departure.
 
What to Bring: Plenty of Food, Drinks, Warm Clothing, Woollen Hat, Raincoat, Sun block, Sun Hat, Motion Sickness Preventive, Ice Pack, Chilly Bin and Smiles.
 
Deposit: After selecting your preferred vessel, we would have notified you that your vessel is available or not. We would then look to receive your 50% deposit of the total cost of the vessel's price, within 24 hours.

This deposit would then confirm your charter option, with the balance required 10 working days before departure. On receiving your payment we will send you a notice of payment.

Cancellation of your Pencil Booking: If we do not receive your deposit or any form of payment within 24 hours, we understand you have automatically cancelled the pencil booking.
 
Payment: We require your balance of payment 10 working days before your departure. If you pay for the full or part payment of the charter on booking we will send you a notice of payment.

Terms and Conditions: Booking is confirmed on receipt of your deposit. Final numbers and payment required no later than 10 working days prior to departure of your cruise. Vessel used and departure point is at the discretion of Splash Out Charters Ltd and may be subject to change without notice. We are obliged to act professionally, honestly, diligently and with due care in performing charter services under this agreement including the privacy act, the health information privacy code and the health and safety act. We take no responsibility for any loss of life or personal items on in or during the charter. We reserve the right to charge a cleaning fee of up to $180 at final inspection at end of charter. We require you to remove all BYO liquor and catering equipment (if applicable) on departure of the vessel, thank you for your co-operation.
